Social posters address critical issues affecting humanity, such as human rights, environmental preservation, and public health. Designers are encouraged to use their creativity to inspire action, raise awareness, and advocate for positive change on a global scale.

Category B
Cultural

Cultural posters celebrate and promote events across the arts, including music, theater, festivals, and exhibitions. Designers have the opportunity to visually capture the essence of diverse cultural expressions and invite audiences to engage with creativity and the arts.

Category C
Motion

Animated posters combine dynamic elements with traditional poster design, using motion to bring concepts to life. These designs can express ideas, narratives, or emotions in innovative ways, enhancing how viewers interact with the poster in digital formats.

Category D
National Parks

The United States International Poster Biennial invites you to participate in the creation of innovative and captivating posters that celebrate the beauty and diversity of national parks. This year's theme for Category D focuses on the breathtaking landscapes and ecological significance of national parks within the United States. These parks are not only places of natural beauty but also vital habitats for diverse species and ecosystems. They offer countless opportunities for recreation, education, and inspiration, playing a crucial role in environmental conservation.

The aim of this project is to create posters that capture the spirit of these parks, highlighting their importance and inviting the public to connect with nature. Participants are encouraged to explore various artistic styles and techniques to craft compelling narratives that showcase the unique features of individual parks or the national park system as a whole.

By participating in this project, designers will contribute to raising awareness about the conservation efforts required to protect these natural wonders. The posters should serve as visual ambassadors, inspiring viewers to appreciate, visit, and support national parks, ultimately fostering a deeper connection between people and the natural world.

On August 25, 1916, President Woodrow Wilson signed the "Organic Act" creating the National Park Service, a federal bureau in the Department of the Interior responsible for maintaining national parks and monuments that were then managed by the department. The National Park System has since expanded to 430 units (often referred to as parks), more than 150 related areas, and numerous programs that assist in conserving the nation's natural and cultural heritage for the benefit of current and future generations.
